Posted: June 2nd, 2011 | Author: Brad | Filed under: Help, Pluuck | No Comments »

Here are some optimal video compression settings when uploading Salvos to Pluuck:

  • H.264 works best. But the following formats will work as well: 3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, asf, asx, avi, divx, mts, m2t, m2ts, m2v, m4v, mkv, mov, mp4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, ogg, wmv.
  • Data rates are best between 2000 kbits/sec to 5000 kbits/sec.
  • Audio is best at 320kbps / 44.100 kHz using the AAC codec
  • Deinterlace (if you have the ability)

Here is a preset if you’re using Compressor:

Here’s a cool way to make text float on a wavy surface. Here’s the scene file so you can break it down.

I know the “a” comes out of the water a bit but I don’t have time to render out the fixed version. (at work… shhhhh)

The Zombies are coming. There is no doubt about it. Perhaps this game will help you get your zombie killing skills up to par… in order to prepare.

Nice Trailer. Love the concept… reverse time, etc. I keep seeing great human animations lately. It gets me excited for the future. They’re getting real close to getting rid of the weird skin issues and other non human giveaways. There are some shots where the Dad looks really good. Nice Work!

Ok… so I work as a Motion Graphic Designer in a casino and I have to do a lot of money falling, flying, stacking, etc, etc… I’m currently developing a Cinema 4D preset that will allow you to make any form of American currency at the click of a button. You’ll be able to make bills fall, fan out, stack up… what ever you think up. Make all the money you’ve ever dreamed of! Coming soon. For now, here is a free model of a $100 Bill that can be used as a custom particle in “Particular” as in the example above. Feel free to post any comments or features that you’d like to see included in the preset… besides it turning into real money.
